We can hardly believe another year has gone. It feels as though 2024 has simply evaporated.
It has been an incredibly busy year. There has been a lot of concrete involved — perhaps more than we ever expected — and at times it has felt as though most of the garden has been under construction. But this was also the year we hosted our first two weddings, and that feels like a real turning point. We are finally settling into a rhythm with them, which brings a huge sense of relief.
We have spent much of the year coming and going, with several trips back to the UK alongside everything happening here. For now, though, we are staying put and enjoying being settled at the château for Christmas.
As the year comes to a close, we want to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year. Looking ahead to 2025, there are lots of exciting plans taking shape, and we hope you will continue to follow along.
We would also like to share more of what we are doing ourselves, directly. We are gradually getting better at filming, although remembering to do it is often the hardest part when you are busy working. We have received so many lovely messages from people saying they would like to see more of the château and more of our everyday life here in France, and that has really encouraged us.
In the New Year, we are setting ourselves the goal of recording things more consistently and sharing more of the journey with you.
