Garden Days
Garden Days are part of our seasonal chateau events and invite guests to take part in the practical work that supports the estate. Depending on the season, tasks may include gardening, planting, clearing paths, pruning, small restoration jobs or general upkeep around the grounds. No experience is required – just energy and a willingness to get involved.
This full day begins at 9.30am with coffee and pastries. The day includes time working in the gardens, walking the estate and joining a short tour of the chateau, guided by Alison and Zion, to see areas not normally open to visitors. Everyone pauses for lunch, with a glass in hand, creating a sociable experience shared with the owners and other participants.
These chateau events suit visitors who enjoy hands-on activity and want to contribute to a genuine restoration project while spending time in a historic setting. Guests leave with a sense of having helped shape part of Château de la Boutinière’s future.
Guests who prefer a private overnight experience may wish to explore our Chateau stays in France for a more extended visit.
